How do I get a tax ID or business license?
I am a jeweler. I would like to work on jewelry part time out of my home. I need a tax ID and/or a business license to purchase my materials. I am wondering how I go about getting one or both of these so that I can start stocking up and working.

licenses are from city biz licensing dept
tax ID are from the state dept of revenue or your state’s
equivalence.
